Ace Clark has followed up the release of his album “Black Privilege” with a new video for the track “Hard To Breathe”, featuring Skyzoo and Tommy Versailles. The song touches on the prevalence of police brutality and the killings of minorities at the hands of those that were sworn to protect them. “Hard To Breathe” has different meanings, adding layers of substance. Freddie Gray died while telling the police that he couldn’t breathe, and it also expresses the suffocating feeling that communities have as these killings keep happening in overwhelming fashion.
The video shows young minorities as victims of such violence and people at the crime scenes dealing with what happened. The strong images in the video really enhance the theme of the track.
