Producer Sango takes on the “Rhythm Roulette” challenge, heading to Holy Cow Records in his hometown of Seattle to pick up his three records at random that he will use make a beat.
He finds a Richard Pryor soundtrack that may have some interesting sounds. Sango lights up when he finds a dope sample to use. The base of his sounds come from a J Dilla sample pack called “Jay Dee Sample Pack”.
When it comes to tempo, Sango lets the sounds that he uses dictate the tempo rather than starting off with the tempo and building from there.
